Who we are
YAAD SPACE CIC (“YAAD”, “we”, “us”) is a non-profit community interest company registered in England and Wales (company number 17372427, registered office 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
If you enquire about a corporate session or partnership
Your name, work email address, job title, company name, and any details you give us about your team, dates or requirements.
If you apply for or hold a membership
Your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), and the information you provide in your membership application. We also hold a record of your membership status and the events you attend.
If you buy a membership, day pass or ticket
Payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card, but we never see or store your full card details.
If you sign up to our newsletter or event calendar
Your name and email address.
If you attend an event
Your name and the event you booked. We sometimes take photographs and video at events for our own social media and marketing. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of the YAAD team at the event and we will make sure you are not photographed, or we will remove you from anything already taken.
When you visit our website
Basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. See the cookies section below.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
You can withdraw consent at any time — every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can email us.

Who we share it with
We use a number of third-party services to run YAAD. Each of these processes your data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms:
Stripe — payments
Luma — event listings, ticketing and newsletters
Tally — application and enquiry forms
Notion — our members’ hub
Google Workspace — email, documents and our booking calendar
LinkedIn and Meta — advertising, including lead forms
Framer — our website
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing. We may share information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect someone’s safety.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead anywhere: up to 12 months
Membership records: for as long as you are a member, and up to 6 years afterwards for financial and legal reasons
Financial records: 6 years, as required by HMRC
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe
Event attendance: up to 2 years
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
Ask us to delete your information
Ask us to restrict or stop using it
Object to us using it, including for marketing
Ask us to transfer it to another provider
Withdraw consent where that is our basis for using it

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand how people use the site. Where we run advertising, LinkedIn and Meta may also set cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and we will ask for your consent before setting anything that isn’t strictly necessary.
Children
YAAD is a members’ club for people aged 25 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if how we handle your information changes, and we will change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell members directly.
